Having a wireless network (Wi-Fi) at home is fun, free internet access without the need for cables. But many people do not take the initiative to secure their wireless networks. Maybe some of them do not know how to secure wireless network and the others just ignore it. If you have a wireless network at home make sure it’s safe.
Sometimes there are unknown users trying to use your internet connection. Although it has been secured by using a password, but for some users it is easy to break it. One way to protect your Wi-Fi network is using an additional tool. This tool is called Wi-Fi Protector, with this tool you can protect with password encryption feature, and you can also monitor all the devices connected to your network and you can easily disconnect an unknown device.
- The first thing you should do is install the application on your computer. If you do not have it, please visit the link below.
- Then run the application on your computer. This is a front view of the Wi-Fi Protector. There are two main buttons “Start VPN Protection” and “Secure my Wi-Fi router”, click the Secure my Wi-Fi router to protect your router, then the application will automatically encrypt your Wi-Fi password.
- Currently your Wi-Fi network is in maximum protection, indicated by a green checkmark. This application has an alarm feature if another user is trying to break passwords or try to connect to your network. Click “View trusted devices” to view devices that are connected to your Wi-Fi.
- In this menu you can allow devices may be connected, or you can permanently block the device from your network. Click the “Forget this device” to disconnect it or click “Trust this device” to give permission to access the network.
That’s about how to secure wireless network. Actually, this application has features to “VPN protection” and “change the computer’s IP (like a proxy)”. Use your creativity to find it. Maybe next time I will discuss about it.
